birthday cake

Hi everyone!
Ingrid here today with a little birthday cake.
Made this cake with the Vintage Autumn Basics collection from Maja Design.
birthday cake
Decorated the round sides with the Vintage Autumn papers, using No.II and the bottom strip. The clocks were cut out of the No.XVI. paper.
The flat sides of the cake were decorated with some fiber paste to imitate the whipped cream.

Don't you just love the clock paper sheet?!
The cut out clocks will be a great touch on almost any project!
Here I cut out a few and layered them together.

Another cut out clock for an extra touch.

heart wreath

Hi all!

Today a heart wreath created with the gorgeous Ska Vi Ta En Fika collection from Maja Design.
Valentine's Day is coming up so this post is all about love.

heart wreath
The wreath originally was dark brown so this was treated with a firm coat of gesso first.
All the flowers were handmade from the Fika papers.
I also made the wrinkled strips of paper to imitate some ribbon.

The flowers are so easy to make.
Just punch two different sizes of flowers, make them wet and let them dry a bit.
Crumble them up and use a brad to hold them together.
For these flowers I used two large flowers and one small one.
The paper strips were given the same treatment, just wet them, crumble and let dry.

The white flower ribbon is given the wreath a lovely romantic feel.

The leaves chipboard, as all of the chipboard, is from Imaginarium Designs and got a coat of gesso.

Love all the beautiful colors and patterns from the Fika papers.

I used a tooth pick to make the patterns (when the gesso is still wet) on the wings.

Used some puffy paint on the letters to give them a great texture.

First DT projects for Shimmerz!

Hi all!
I'm so excited to share my first projects as a new DT member for Shimmerz Paints!!
Just love to play with their beautiful paints!
Both projects are also for the February challenge and I used the gorgeous pink colors.
Let me start with this canvas I made for my youngest daughter.

I started the background using tissue paper to create a lot of textures.
I glued the paper and some mesh with gesso.
Sprayed some colors with Vibez, Pop Art Pink.
Added more color with the Dazzelerz, Pucker Up Pink and Tutti Frutti.
Sprayed some water to let the colors blend in.

Once dry I added some extra texture with the Texturez, Crushed Coral.

The paper flowers are colored with Dazzelerz, Pucker Up Pink.

Handmade some yarn flower in matching colors.

The pink fiber was in my stash and perfect for this project.

Here are the colors I used:
Dazzelerz: Pucker Up Pink
Dazzelerez: Tuttu Frutti
Texturez: Crushed Coral
Vibez: Pop Art Pink

Didn't want to waste any of the gorgeous paints lying on my craft map,
so I made this card as well.
