a gift for you *Maja design*

Made this triptych for someone special as a holiday gift.
I used the "A gift for you" collection from Maja Design.

On the front I used the "shipped from the North Pole" sheet for the background.
Added some strips of this sheet and pieces of "when the snow is falling" and "on Christmas morning".

The lovely handles are from Scrap-Unlimited, a Dutch online store.
They were given a touch of gesso.

Embellished it with a big white flower from 13Arts and small roses and mini cotton balls.

A lovely scenery on the inside with a torn piece of the "on Christmas morning" sheet.

All the small sides were decorated with the backside of the "on Christmas morning" sheet.

For the bottom edges I mixed some modeling paste with 13Arts glass filler.

The total inside with room for some journaling.
The journaling card comes from the pictures and tags sheet.

Papers used:

two mini alarm clocks *Shimmerz*

Having my daughter studying in the USA and her boyfriend in China, I need to keep up with their time if I want to talk to them. Made these two mini clocks for their timezones.
The pink, flowery one for my daughter of course, AM and the blue one for her boyfriend, PM.

For my Dutch friends, these were bought at the Hema.
These little cuties are 9x9cm / 3,3 x3,5inch.
Started both with glueing bits of paper towel to give them more texture.
Added all the embellishments, gave it all a coat of gesso before applying all the colors.
After all the colors, an extra touch with some gesso using a sponge.

For the pink clock I used:
Vibez: Grape Escape
Vibez: Razzel Dazzel Berry
Spritz: Plum Pudding
Blingz: Flashee Fushia
Shimmerz: Marigold
Shimmerz: Magenta

There she is...another earring piece! :)

A pearl string around the edges.

Added some wooden beads.

The cute little handle is from a Dutch online store Scrap-Unlimited.

And here the other clock:

For the blue clock I used:
Dazzelerz: Gummy Berry Blue
Dazzelerz: Sour Apple
Vibez: Jeni B Blue
Shimmerz: Key Lime
Shimmerz: Aqua Marine
Shimmerz: Tickle Me Turquoise
Inklingz (metal): Tarnished Treasure

A metal piece, gears, buttons and beads cluster.

A chain tassel on the side.

Some rope around the edges.

The mini chipboard gears are from Scrap-Unlimited as well.

Have a great time!

Gift for Danique *13 Arts*

Made this big *D* as a gift for Danique, a sweet little girl in our family.
Had a lot of fun with a lot of products from 13 Arts. To check out the store click here
Bought the big *D* at Xenos, a Dutch store.
Painted it with 13 Arts gesso and kitchen paper towel.
Mixed some glass filler (also 13 Arts) with the gesso to create the texture.
I applied the buttons, wooden flowers and some metal.
Gave it all a coat of gesso before painting.
I used the following 13 Arts paints:
Chalk Fushia
Chalk Yellow Lemon
Matte Berry

The large flourish is chipboard from Dusty Attic.

Painted some flowers with the Matte Berry.
The chipboard fence is from Imaginarium Designs.

This lovely metal frame was in my stash for a long time and it was perfect for this little cutie!

The little metal house and butterfly are also from Xenos.

These twigs (absolutely love them!) are from 13 Arts also.
The metal 'love' is from Prima.

Roses, buttons, pearls and some bling.

tissue box *Maja design*

Ohhhh....I really need some hugs!
Feeling a bit sad..... One week ago my youngest daughter left home to study in the States.
She will be gone for almost 7(!!) months!! I'm extremely proud of her but I think all moms can imagine how I'm feeling right now....
So today I have a tissue box to share with you all.
Think I will be needing those tissues a lot!!!! :)

Made this box with the Crea Diem collection.

I tore up some bits of papers and glued them on the box.
I made a mix of gesso and micro beads and glass filler, and applied it randomly.
Wanted to create a bit of a wintery effect.

Had this cute little house in my stash for awhile and I thought it would be perfect for this box.

Added some flowers, gauze, beads and chipboard (Dusty Attic) to create a little scenery.

Cut out the clocks from the -den oersattliga tiden- sheet.

Creating some lovely texture with the papers and the mixed gesso.

Papers used:
Kann dig sjalv
Sa lange jag lever
Ord flyger bort
Skapa dagen
Den oersattliga tiden

Enjoy your day!

set of three cards *Shimmerz*

Today I would like to share this set of three mini cards.
Made these on a card sized mini canvas, perfect to hold all the paints!

For these cards I used the following paints:
Spritz: Caribbean Sunset
Vibez: Princess
Vibez: Razzel Dazzel Berry
Vibez: Jeni B Blue
Texturez: Brick Wall
Texturez: Tidy Widy
Dazzelerz: Grapetastic
Dazzelerz: Pucker Up Pink
Dazzelerz: Gummy Berry Blue

Card no.1
For card no.1 I used a wooden left over packaging.
Randomly painted until I was happy with the result and embellished it with flowers, metal pieces, chipboard, gauze and pearls.
Gave a final extra touch with gesso around the edges.

All the flowers were painted with the Shimmerz colors also.

The empty packaging gives a great dimensional effect!

Card no.2
Just playing with the colors on the background and added some flowers, twigs and pearls.

Made this butterfly with a template using the Dazzelerz, Gummy Berry Blue.

Card no.3
So loving these colors together....they make me happy! :)
At this card also a touch of gesso around the edges to make it a bit softer looking.

Using Texturez, Tidy Widy, for the branches.

Enjoy your day!
